The Oakland Police Department said it took multiple people into custody after shots were fired near Skyline High School on Tuesday.

The department said it first received a call about gunfire erupting in the Oakland Hills at 11:30 a.m. Officers rushed to the scene and did not find any individuals with gunshot wounds, the police said. The school went under lockdown as officers scanned the area.
